22lr PPK started at serial number 100,000 with a LR suffix to denote the chambering. Germany part was the final assembly and finish of the components along with the made in stamp. This would have been around 1955, a few years later the pistols were imported as Walther and stamped made in W. The first of the post war PPK pistols that were sold in the US were the Mark II Walther labeled guns that were also stamped as made in France. Nice find! You are correct in that all post war Walther PP series pistols were produced in France, at least until some time in the 1980's.
